Land Acknowledgement

We respectfully acknowledge that we are on the traditional territories of the Indigenous Peoples who have cared for these lands and waters since time immemorial. We recognize that we are located in Treaty 7 Territory, home to the Blackfoot Confederacy (Siksika, Kainai, and Piikani Nations), the Stoney Nakoda Nations (Bearspaw, Chiniki, and Goodstoney First Nations), and the Tsuut’ina Nation. We also acknowledge the Métis Nation of Alberta, Region 3, and all First Nations, Métis, and Inuit peoples whose histories, cultures, and contributions continue to enrich Alberta and Canada.

We recognize that the land is more than the ground beneath our feet. It sustains life, holds memory, and connects us through stories, culture, and tradition, reminding us that we all share a responsibility to care for the places we call home.

This land acknowledgement is more than words. It is an invitation for Indigenous and non-Indigenous peoples alike to learn, reflect, and deepen our understanding of one another. Reconciliation is an ongoing journey built through listening, respect, meaningful relationships, and actions that support equity and healing.

We are committed to fostering a welcoming, inclusive, and culturally respectful environment where every person is treated with dignity and compassion. We are grateful for the opportunity to live, work, and care for others on these lands, and we honour the enduring stewardship, resilience, and knowledge of the Indigenous Peoples who continue to call them home.
